This vacancy is for a GS - 1801 - 11, Maritime Training Auditor (External) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OPERATING LOCATION-NMC EXTERNAL AUDIT TEAM 1-SEATTLE WA in SEATTLE, Washington. Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Interpreting and applying laws, regulations and policy during audits, or inspection activities, or compliance activities; Preparing professional audit reports, or inspection reports or investigation reports for dissemination to the public, or audit target, or inter agency/organization; Interacting with the public face to face and through electronic and/or written communications AND Conducting at least one of the following: ISO related audits, marine inspections, educational institution audits or inspections, instructing practical assessments, or investigating casualties or product and/or system failures. OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education OR possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or LL.M., if related. OR A combination of successfully completed graduate-level education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
