This is a rules-and-compliance role at the center of automated mortgage decisioning: the director reviews, tests, and verifies ARIVE's AI underwriting rules against the agency guides and each investor's guidelines and overlays, approves rules before release, and re-verifies them as guidelines change. The role verifies the AI agents' autonomous actions with the same rigor expected of a senior human underwriter, ensuring every automated issue resolution is correct and guideline-compliant. It works directly with lender credit and underwriting teams, and with the agencies where applicable, to confirm rule accuracy, reconcile interpretation differences, and maintain lender-specific rule sets as the source of truth. The director owns Pre-Underwrite outputs end to end, including audit findings, checklists, conditions, and the agents' autonomous issue resolutions, triaging errors and driving root-cause fixes. About AI governance jobs
AI governance sits at the intersection of policy, risk, and engineering. Teams are standing up model inventories, use-case intake and review, risk classification, and control monitoring as regulation and board scrutiny of AI intensify. Jobs like this one are typically evaluated against frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, and internal model-risk and privacy practices.
How to position yourself for this AI governance job
Strong candidates emphasize experience translating policy into operational controls, working across legal, compliance, security, product, and data teams, documenting AI system risks, and supporting governance processes. In your resume and outreach, tie your experience to how ARIVE would apply NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, and internal model-risk and privacy practices, and lead with concrete outcomes rather than duties.
